The Best In Tracking For Remote Locations
For Personal, Machinery and Vehicle Tracking in Remote Locations ITS Intelligent Tracking Solutions can supply you with the right Satellite Tracking Solution. Satellite Tracking works beyond cellphone coverage, in fact it works almost anywhere.
Satellite Personal GPS Devices allow you to keep track of your friends, family and lone workers to ensure they are safe. With Satellite Tracking you can mark waypoints along your route to share with colleagues and friends, and can alert help in an emergency.
ATV, Quad and Tractor Roll Over Alerts
If you or your workers are off in a remote location on farm machinery there is danger that the machinery could roll and the driver could be too hurt to seek help. This is where the rollover satellite sensor is an asset. It can send help alerts if the machinery has rolled and could save your life or that of your worker!
Machinery Tracking and Vehicle Tracking
For Vehicle and Machinery Satellite Tracking; the ITS-300i Satellite Tracking unit is everything you could ask for.
The ITS-300i Iridium two way communication Satellite Tracking unit and communication hub uses the best of both worlds, combining the ITS-300’s impressive tracking features with Iridium’s ultra-reliable satellite technology, allowing ease of operation in remote locations in the most cost effective way. Our system hops from the Iridium Satellite network when communication is in a remote location, when in a urban area the system switches back to GPRS network thus keeping your total running costs down and efficiency to its maximum potential.

The Technical Stuff
The Iridium Satellite Constellation is a large group of satellites providing voice and data coverage to satellite phones, pagers and integrated transceivers over Earth’s entire
surface. Iridium Communications Inc owns and operates the constellation and sells equipment and access to its services.
The constellation operates 66 active satellites in orbit to complete its constellation and additional spare satellites are kept in-orbit to serve in case of failure.
Satellites are in low Earth orbit at a height of approximately 485 mi (781 km) and inclination of 86.4°. Orbital velocity of the satellites is approximately 17,000 mph (27,000
Satellites communicate with neighboring satellites via Ka band inter-satellite links. Each satellite can have four inter-satellite links: two to neighbors fore and aft in the same orbital plane, and two to satellites in neighboring planes to either side.
The satellites orbit from pole to pole with an orbit of roughly 100 minutes. This design means that there is excellent satellite visibility and service coverage at the North and South poles, where there are few customers.
The over-the-pole orbital design produces “seams” where satellites in counter-rotating planes next to one another are traveling in opposite directions. Cross-seam inter-satellite link hand-offs would have to happen very rapidly and cope with large Doppler shifts; therefore, Iridium supports inter-satellite links only between satellites orbiting in the same direction.
